Robusta coffee has a higher caffeine content then Arabica coffee beans. It is most often used in espresso blend to give that extra punch and crema. Just a pinch will do a fine job. Peaberry grade is the effect of the coffee cherry fruit which only produces one seed as opposed to having two seeds in the typical coffee fruit. Another superior feature or advantage for roasting the Peaberry is the consistent uniformity of bean size. Medium-dark roast for your espresso blend! __________________________________________________________________________________________________
Monsooned coffees are stored in special warehouses until the Monsoon season comes around. The sides of the structure are opened and moist monsoon winds circulate around the coffee making it swell in size and take on the famous mellow, but uncompromising, musty flavor. This process turns the bean a golden tan. Mainly used in espresso blending for the thick creama, nutty flavor, heavy body and low acidity. Medium-dark to a dark roast for that prefect espresso. __________________________________________________________________________________________________
India growing regions are in the southern part of their country at the 3,500 to 4000 foot elevation. This "screen 19 nugget" coffee is of premium grade. It represents the very highest quality coffee from India. The beans are very large, uniform blush green in color with a clean polished appearance. The full aroma, low acidity, medium body is pleasantly sweet when roasted medium to dark. A truly remarkable cup! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
